Have you ever wondered why you're always feeling tired, having difficulty getting up in the morning, and not motivated to do anything because you just don't have the energy to do it?
Stamina plays an important role in both physical and mental activities. It can lead to an improved productivity, better focus, and overall well being, some of the factors that can lead to low energy levels can include toxicity from pesticide, smoke, sensitivity to foods, drug reactions, and even infection. It could also be from stress, lack of good quality sleep, nutrition, and dehydration, medical condition such as thyroid disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, anemia, diabetes, and even heart condition, as well as from sedentary life, like sitting all the time.
In this video, I will share three simple tips to enhance our energy. So let's dive in, and I'll share some slides.
First tip is detoxification. Cleansing our body from toxins like drinking a glass of water with lemon in the morning, lemon is an alkaline and can detox your blood. How much water do we need? As a general rule, is half of your weight in ounces. For example, if I weigh 100 pounds, I drink 50 ounces of water a day or more, if I exercise and living in a dry, hot condition.
The next tip, second is self care. This is crucial, because we cannot offer anything if you don't have the energy. It is important to fill our cup first, so that we can help and take care of others. And it's also recommended to schedule our self-care routine, like having a relaxing bath, taking a break, going to the park, enjoying the movie, as well as taking a vacation.
Applying acupressure. Pressing the acupressure point for one minute. And this could be PC6 or pericardium six, located two fingers above middle wrist, between the tendons, as well as stomach 36, about three inches below the knee, the lateral knee, next to the bone, both points are good to enhance our energy, strengthen our digestion, and calm our mind. You can also add the four gates, which is large intestine four LI4 on the hands and liver three LIV3 on the feet, which I covered in our last episode of boosting your immune system. However, LI4 or large intestine four and liver three are contraindicated to pregnant women, unless they wanted to induce their labor. So all of these points can enhance our energy.
You can also eat foods that can boost our stamina, and this includes complex carbohydrates like potatoes and whole grain, such as oatmeal, quinoa, and brown rice. Healthy fats, like avocado, olive oil, nuts, and seed. Fatty fish, such as salmon, meat, eggs, as well as fruits like berries and bananas, and vegetables like broccoli and green beefy vegetables.
And the third tip is practicing healthy lifestyle, such as getting enough sleep and rest, eating fresh food, healthy, balanced diet, managing our stress and exercise, such as walking,
practicing positive mindset like gratitude and being grateful for everything that comes along our way, either bad or good, shifting challenges into gifts, as learning experiences and opportunities to grow and evolve, and as well as regular doctor visit to make sure that our vitals, blood pressure, cholesterol, are all normal. And also you can get a food panel sensitivity test to find out which foods you're sensitive to so you can avoid them and prevent pain.
